This is an introduction to my rattery.   First of all people may wonder, "Why rats?"  In response they make excellent pets, they are clean, extremely intelligent, and have a gestation which is sufficiently short to make breeding them as a hobby feasible, for those of you with an interest in genetics.  You can easily breed through several generations in order to obtain certain desirable characteristics.    Currently I am working with pearl merles, blues, BEW's, and heavily marked dumbos.
